PDF files are usually used as e-books which people who love reading will collect in their laptops or tablets. But, there are times when you need to have the printed version from the digital one. For example, when you want to bring it anywhere you go without having worried about electricity power of your gadget, or probably you want to make any notes on the printed version. So, you need to print them.
I have ever experienced the need of having a printed version instead of the digital one. In fact, this job is easy that you just need to use File - Print menu on your PDF reader program. But, when you come up with customization such as booklet style printing using Publisher as example, you may probably need to separate them into many separate single pages in order to put them into desktop publishing program like Microsoft Publisher. Then you can print them as book fold.
One of the easiest way to do this is to use PDF to JPG converter which converts all pages of PDF into many single files of JPG image. Then put them into Microsoft Publisher to be printed as folded book. You may need some basic knowledge about Publisher book fold printing. Another way is to use Screen Capture Utility to get the area of the page of PDF you want one-by-one.

How to test your printing paper
After posting about "Four types of ink on inkjet printer", this time I would like to share a simple tip on testing paper quality. Actually this kind of test is very common. You can also try it with different kind of ink.
Inkjet printers usually print result usually stays longer on plain paper rather than on inkjet paper. This is because of the special coating on inkjet paper which is not heat proof. Not heat proof means that your paper printing result can't stay in high temperature or direct sunlight. This is like "oxygen" in oxygen water that can't stay in high temperature. In an air-conditioned room, the printing result can stay longer.
Here is a simple experiment you can do with different ink (like the four types mentioned on earlier post). Also try it with different inkjet paper or photo paper.
First, you need to print a picture on a several pieces of paper. Then put them in different environment. You can try putting them on an outdoor place to let it receive direct sunlight. You'll be able to see difference when printing with water based ink and dye based ink. Make the comparison and take down the number of days needed for the printed material to go fading. Different brand of paper also gives different result, so you have to experiment it yourself. Happy trying!

Don't buy CD Label sticker with too small margin
A CD label usually has a diameter of 118mm. However some CD label manufacturers seem to produce CD labels with very small margin. Perhaps this is to save the cost of production. When buying a pack of CD Labels, don't buy CD labels with small margin, even if the price is quite cheap. Printers normally can't print from very left margin. Of course you can select NO BORDER printing, but that will slow down the printing to use that kind of CD Label. This is important when you need speed in printing.
