If you want to shut down your PC faster, you can just press Power Button on your keyboard.
This is no secret, but to most beginners, they will click Start menu to shut down the
computer.
This button is also useful when one day your monitor seems to be broken (not displaying
anything or not ON at all, but you have turned on the PC.
If this happen, don't press the power button on your casing directly, but try pressing POWER
button on your keyboard (if you're sure that the problem lies on your monitor).
Have ever met this kind of problem?
Fun with Reverse Sound Effect

If you want to send your voice attachment. You may use the Sound Recorder of your Windows Accessories.
It's a small program that you can use to record your voice with a microphone. But there's a menu that you can use to make the sound special, that is REVERSE on Effects menu.
After recording your voice, you can REVERSE it. Send it to your friend.
If your friend keeps this voice, he/she will have to reverse it in order to hear it.
This effect can be used for fun or to keep important voice message safer than to leave it unreverse (cause most beginners won't know that the voice is reversed voice - most will think that the voice file is broken). Try it!
Second-hand monitor, to buy or not to buy?
Thinking of buying a second-hand monitor?
It's quite hard to determine whether a second-hand monitor is good to buy or not. But you can consider these points.
Well, you need to check the brightness and contrast. Try adjusting them.
If the display screen is not in very good condition you will know just like adjusting on your TV.
Don't forget to check the sharpness of the characters and pictures displayed on the screen (desktop).
Check the physical condition of the monitor including cable. Don't buy it if the cable is not in a very good condition.
Also check the maximum screen resolution, by right clicking on the desktop, choose properties, then select Settings. You will see the resolution. Make sure that the maximum resolution is not lower than 1024 x 768.

Don't forget to check for BURN-IN on your monitor by displaying a completely dark screen. You can use Microsoft Paint, and fill the canvas with black color, then click the menu View - View Bitmap (or Ctrl + F). Make sure that you see completely black screen. If you see a red dot somewhere in the dark screen, that is the BURN-IN.

Printing on cheap photo paper
Sometimes, you can find some cheap photo paper at bookstore. However, to print with good quality on the paper, you need to know the way.
Here are some tips:
#1 Tip
Look at the glossy surface of the paper. Is it glossy enough? Is it bright white? If the answers are "YES", you may consider buying it. Paper with whiter surface will sometimes prints better, but please consider the smoothness of the surface.
#2 Tip
There are 3 kinds of refill ink normally used on printer (water based, dye based and pigment ink). If you are using original ink, then you don't have to worry. Just use it. I prefer dye based, cause it's cheaper with better quality rather than pigment)

Polling - What to send to a friend?
Have you seen the polling below?
Can you guess why I wanted to have a polling?
I am going to tell you a little about giving surprise to your friend, by using internet.
First about e-mail
If you have a friend who is ill now (maybe she's got flu - you know it from your friend indirectly), you can send her an e-mail asking about her condition. You may show her your care.
Second about e-greeting card
Then if you want to give her a little surprise rather than simple e-mail, you can send e-greeting card by visiting websites that provide these services. One of my favorite site is:
www.123greetings.com
Your friend will be glad when she opened the e-mail.
Third about making a call
You can use online phone service like Skype, Google Talk. If your friend is one of the member, you call without any cost (free). I mean PC to PC.
Fourth about surprise fax
If you know your friend's fax number, you can send her a surprise fax saying:
Wish you get well soon (if she's ill now)
You can use fax machine or computer software like FaxTalk (sometimes it's included when you buy a modem). Or search for "free fax software". I'll post this later.
Now, what will you choose?
Thanks for polling
