Epson C110 Printer Driver for Windows 7

By default, Epson C110 Printer Driver disc that came with your printer which you bought at that time when Epson C110 printer was recommended to the world, was actually designed for Windows XP and Windows earlier version.

But you probably still have Epson C110 printer until now. When you try to use it on a computer with Windows 7, you will find that it's not working. Windows 7 will automatically install it as a Standard Epson printer, but Standard driver installed by Windows may probably work properly. So, the solution is to search for Epson C110 driver which is for Windows 7 itself.

So, where can you download the driver for Windows 7? I also searched for the driver because I also have an Epson C110 printer. So, here's the link and you can download it. Then installed it as usual.

Epson printer blinking error

Epson printer is one of the world most commonly used printer. It's a kind of durable printer whether for home or office use.
One of the most commonly found error is the blinking error (the resume and low ink light keep on blinking). When this happens, you can't use your printer in anyway. It just keeps on blinking. This blinking error can be solved by using a special free utility to reset the protection counter. You can download the utility from: http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
After installing, do the following steps:
* Turn on your printer and run the utility.
* Click Configuration tab, and select your installed printer and printer model.
* Then close the dialog box. After that, you'll see the SSC service utility icon at the notification area on the taskbar.
* Right click on the icon, and select protection counter.
* Then click Reset protection counter.
* You're done. Turn off your printer and turn it on again.

Paper just won't go through printer

Sometimes, if you buy too thin inkjet paper or low quality printer paper, especially those paper which is not manufactured by company like Epson, Canon or HP, you'll sometimes find that the paper just won't go throught the printer.

I met this problem many times when using this kind of paper with Epson printer. And I usually hold the paper and push it to help it go through the printer manually. Printing on low quality inkjet paper, sometimes needs patient. And sometimes, using this holding and pushing method will drive you crazy cause for printing a few pages only will take up to 30 minutes or more. It's different from printing on plain paper because inkjet paper has a special coated side. And perhaps that's the disadvantage of low priced paper.

To solve this problem, besides holding and pushing, we can also put thick paper or card board to support the paper back. I mean put it in front of the upper supporting tray. And so that the paper will be push to front a bit. This also cause the paper to stand up a little more. This is a new tip I just found. If this won't work, you can also try bending the part of paper that will first go into the printer. Hope these tips help a little and work as the solution.

Alternative use of printer

Printers actually have another usage. Guess what! You've probably ever noticed money counting machine in banks. Well, you can use your printer to do counting jobs, of course counting paper not money. : )
When you print something in white color, for example a single letter or a dot or line, you printer will let the paper go through it. So, you just need to set number of copies on your print dialog box. Try it. But I don't suggest it for newly bought printer - better use your old printer or a printer with print head defect cause it doesn't print anything.

My favorite and my new Epson printer

Epson C110 Printer is a new fast-printing printer. I print a black and white jpg only takes about 6 seconds. I was amazed because formerly I used Epson C87 and Epson C83. To me, I still prefer C83 and C87 because it's really durable. Epson C87 also comes with C87 Plus which is a bit faster than C87.

A few years ago, I got an Epson R250 printer. I bought it and used it for not more than a year. The print head was actually fine, but it became broken when a paper jammed in the printed. I thought it could be as durable as C83. So I pull out the paper. Later, a problem happened to the moving head when it was printing, something stuck in the printer. I tried to move the head and accidentally, the print head stop and not long after that the belting inside the printer snapped-off. I tried to find this belting in local printer repair shop, but they said out of stock. I was very disappointed for touching the moving head. NEVER TOUCH THE MOVING HEAD WHEN IT WAS PRINTING OR STOPPED PRINTING FOR A WHILE.

But now, I am working with my Epson C110 and I feel quite satisfied with it, especially the speed of printing that saves me time.
