How to capture two windows on the desktop easily

Have you read my previous posts before this one? Look at the snapshots of the program. The background is white while there are two windows. One is above another. If the windows are on the desktop. And you capture directly with your screen capture program, you'll probably get some unwanted portions of the desktop screen (I mean the portion of the wallpaper). Compare the pictures. The left one is clear without background wallpaper and the right one is with background wallpaper. You can still see the desktop icons. If you capture the screen directly, you can still edit with some photo editing software or even use Microsoft Paint.

But you don't have to do that. No editing required to remove the background or change it to white color. All you have to do is have a white screen behind the two windows. For example, you can run Microsoft Word and let it be behind the two windows. After that just capture with your favorite screen capture utility. I myself use Screen Hunter 5.0 Free. You can find it in my blog, too. Simple indeed, isn't it?

Browsing in maximize screen

When I was working for my previous post, I found a problem capturing the whole screen of http://www.gamejump.com screen to make the snapshot. I found that the whole screen doesn't fit in my monitor view. To solve this problem you can do something like:
  • Resizing your screen resolution by right clicking the desktop and choose Properties, then click tab Settings. Select a higher resolution.
  • Browse in full screen by pressing F11 if you are using Firefox or Internet Explorer. If you use Internet Explorer then can make it more maximize by right clicking and select Auto Hide.
  • If the page you are viewing contains a lot of text you can select View - Text Size - Decrease in Firefox or in Internet Explorer choose from Smallest to Largest to make the text size smaller and then automatically the screen will be smaller.
Try one of the tips to get what you want or apply all the tips above and then use a screen capture program like Screen Hunter 5 Free from Wisdom Soft.

Screen Hunter

Last time, I post about "zapgrab" a very simple program to capture screen. Yesterday, when I thought of posting my YouTube Downloader article, I got a problem. I couldn't capture any pop-up screen and mouse pointer with the "zapgrab". Then I thought of searching at www.download.com

Then I found a free capture program called Screen Hunter. This one seems to be more powerful as freeware. Then I used it to capture the pictures that you can see on the "YouTube Downloader" post, my previous post.

Screen Capture

Screen capture is easy to do by pressing Print Screen (PrtScn) button on the keyboard. But, it's not very effective when we just want to capture a small region of the screen.

We may use Screen Capture program such as Camtasia or SnagIt.
By using the program, we can capture not only static screen but also video.

Usually screen capture is useful for the making of computer text book. And video screen capture is normally used for computer tutorial. The captured video can be burnt to a disc to make computer video tutorial disc.

Well, if you just a simple and small program for capturing screen, I suggest using Zapgrab. It's a free and you can download from http://www.zapgrab.net/
It's also very small, only about 25 KB. Try it!
