iPad is the currently hot tech gadget which most people use everyday. Even magician uses it for performing magic. A few months ago, I' watched a magic competition on Taiwan TV show. One of the contestants used iPad as part of his magic performance.

In fact, using iPad in magic performance is actually combining common magic trick along with iPad application so that it creates an illusion as if something is coming out from iPad or happening inside iPad while doing it outside the iPad.

Google Logos and their meanings

Google logos have always given the visitor surprise and laughter. Why I said so? Today when I visited the site, I found that it had a new logo again. This time it's Google inside the Pac-Man maze. Well, this is also a bit funny. Everybody knows Pac-Man, the popular classic arcade game created in 1980. If you like collecting the logos. You can still download it from my page.

I also made a search about the meaning and found that in fact Google is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Pac-man. Google has been creating different kinds of logos to celebrate different occasions of the world since 1998 until now. The custom homepage logo is called doodle. But the logo I have seen today is the most different one. Why I said so? You can the "Insert Coin" button when you open the homepage. When you click the button, you can play the game. And this seems to be the first playable version of the doodle.

Fake wallpaper and fake taskbar

Would you like to do something funny with your wallpaper? Well, actually you can just change your desktop wallpaper to something else. What is it? Follow these steps and see what I mean.

• Press PrtScr key on your keyboard and then open Microsoft Paint.
• Click Edit and then Paste the captured screen.
• After that, save the captured screen picture into a file by clicking File - Save.
• Then, click File and select Set As Background (Centered).
• You'll have a wallpaper with icons and all the items (just like the real one).
• Then hide the taskbar by right clicking on the taskbar and select Auto Hide.
• After that, right click on the desktop and select Arrange icon by.
• Then, uncheck the menu Show Desktop Icons.
• You'll see that your real desktop icons are hidden.
• Drag your taskbar to the top of the screen.

Funny photo blending effects

Most people like working with photo blending when using photo editing software like PhotoShop. But Photo Blending is also not so easy when you want to get special blending effects, especially those who are still beginners.

For those beginners, they can usually make simple photo blending. Or they can use special features included in a photo editing software like Ulead Photo Express. This is also my favorite. I first knew this program when I installed drivers for Acer scanner about 10 years ago. That time my friend bought an Acer scanner and Photo Express was included in it. It's a very easy to use program cause it comes up with many special effects.

Adobe PhotoShop seems to have been designed to do more than simple photo editing. It's a bit harder to learn when you have no basics at all. But everything is hard at the first start. If you want to get started easier with photo projects (including photo blending), you can also choose PhotoDeluxe which is also a product of Adobe. It's quite nice and easy to use.

Create funny and artistic ASCII Art Text

Images are actually arranged from very small dot called pixels. These images are sometimes used for wallpapers with many different sizes from 640 x 480 till 1024 x 768 pixels. We have seen quite a lot of beautiful images from landscape photos till computer generated 3D images. But actually, we can have something different by arranging texts and applying colors till it forms an image. That's what we call ASCII Art.

ASCII Art are plain text arranged into pictures. When technology of mobile phones went into sms technology, many people started making pictures from ASCII characters (letters, numbers and symbols) cause at that time we could only send text, unlike nowadays that we can send mms. Some people can arrange them beautifully into text images like teddy bears, dolls, etc.

But, now using a special software called ASCII Art Generator, we can created a beautiful funny image from ASCII characters with colors applied on the characters. Real Desktop Light 1.29

Want to have a different and completely fresh desktop? Try this freeware. Real Desktop Light is a freeware that makes your Windows desktop look different. A usual desktop is a desktop with icons usually arranged in order. But this freeware will turn the desktop wallpaper into a table-like view. There's also a wastepaper basket which is actually the recycle bin. The look of icons are also changed into 3D look. It's so different that you'll probably have problem running your program, copying and deleting. But, this freeware serves more like a desktop toy, rather than a desktop enhancement or utilities. Another different from usual desktop is when you want to drag it to the recycle bin, you have to pick the icon up by holding the left and right mouse key together. This would probably seem troublesome just for deleting an icon. Really something for fun only.
